Win the Use of an Okuma Machine Tool Free for Two Years
Charlotte, NC (October 27, 2009)– One lucky machine shop will win the use of an Okuma machine tool FREE for two years as the grand prize in the Real Help Machine Giveaway contest. The contest gets underway Tuesday, October 27 and entries will be accepted until 8:00 am on Monday, December 7, 2009.
Manufacturers and their employees are invited to submit a video or essay entry telling their story and how an Okuma machine can help their business. Full details, including contest rules and entry guidelines, can be found at http://oac.okuma.com/giveaway.
Entries will be posted online. Every entry receives a prize and weekly winners will be selected randomly from all entries received. Weekly winners will receive a 16GB iPod nano®, provided by Sandvik Coromant. Five finalists will be selected on December 8 and the Grand Prize Winner will be selected on December 11. The grand prize machine will be selected from a select list of machines with the actual machine selection chosen to best support the winner’s business.
“All manufacturers face challenges, especially during difficult economic times. Shops struggle with reducing costs, increasing spindle utilization and improving quality. We feel Okuma, along with our Partners, offers the best control and machine tool technology and solutions available. We also realize that new machines might not be in the budgets at this time for some shops. So we’re offering them a way to make their case to get the best technology now,” stated Larry Schwartz, President and COO of Okuma America Corporation. “We’re anxious to see how we can help these shops succeed.”
In addition to prizes from Okuma, members of Partners in THINC are providing entry prizes and prizes for the weekly winners and the finalists. Participating sponsors include: Sandvik-Coromant, Iscar Metals, Inc., Renishaw, Schunk, Caron Engineering, Zoller, FANUC Robotics and Marposs.
